I was fortunate enough to be tagged for this one by Joelle at Sword of the Penmaiden! (Or else, not so fortunate! π )
And for the questions: (Here we go, ready or not)
VITAL STATS AND APPEARANCE
(pen)Name: Rose Q. Addams
Nicknames: Sometimes I go by “Ruby”.
Birthday: Hobbit Day!! Ask what year, and I might have to kill you. π
Hair color and length: Dirty-blondish and mid-length. (Helpful, aren’t I??)
Eye color: Brownish
Braces/piercings/tattoos: Thank heavens, no, no, and no. Too many allergies for the second two, and I like popcorn and chewy things too much for the first to be enjoyable in any way.
Righty or lefty: Righty.
Ethnicity: German and Danish are the main two. So, if you cross me, I have the ability to go full Viking on ya. I also love sugar, butter, and lavender (the color). XD
FIRSTS:
First novel written: Wild Card, my sad dystopian book that will probably never see the light of day…
First novel completed: A Three-Cord Strand? Although it was a novel made up of 3 novellas, so… if that doesn’t count, we’re gonna go with A Debt To Pay
Award for writing: At my library, for a poem, at the age of 13. I got nothing but a paper certificate and the poem posted on their website, but it made me thrilled!
First publication: Havok Publishing: Red Hood, Red Legend. π
Conference: None.
Query/Pitch: β¦ None.
FAVORITES:
Novel (that you wrote): A Debt To Pay is very close to my heart.
Genre: Fantasy, if you haven’t guessed.
Author: C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien, Kirby Larson, Anne Elizabeth Stengl, Melanie Cellier, Robin McKinley…
Writing Music: Anything with a beat that I can get my hands on.
Time To Write: Morning, hands down! Brains are happier the earlier they get going.
Writing Snack/Drink: Chocolate (because who doesn’t like chocolate!?) and water (I need to keep hydrated and for some reason milk is weird outside of meals…)
Movie: The Emperorβs New Groove! BBC Narnia’s the Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe! Antman!
Writing Memory: When a famous author that I was taking a class from told me she was low-key obsessed with my current idea!! :S
Childhood Book: Tales and Poems of Winnie the Pooh.
CURRENTLY:
Reading: Skullduggery Pleasant, book 2. A good friend recommended the series, and man, I loved the first one…
Writing: Too many things… Currently editing Spirit of the Season (My Christmas ghost story), A Debt To Pay (my precious novel that’s waay too big…) and drafting Eye of the Beholder, my Appalachian Beauty and the Beast tale.
Listening to: The Red Panda superhero podcast!! I listened to the entire original series some time ago, and I’ve recently restarted it.
Watching: RWBY season 3
Learning: Patience. It is very hard.
FUTURE:
Want To Be Published: DEFINITELY!!
Indie or Traditional: Traditional, if I can.
Wildest Goal: Stay in a hobbit-hole-themed hotel that I found online as a reward after I hit enough book sales to make it feasible without wasting money. XD
And I shall tag: YOU! If you’re interested, just link back so I know you played along. π
NaNoWriMo Progress this week: 4311 words. Working a little extra, and taking Thanksgiving off, but I still got a really good total of 18315 words over the course of the month! I’ve got 5 days left to hit my goal of 25,000!! Wish me luck… π
Ahhh I want to go to that hobbit-themed hotel too!!! π Lol, it was so fun getting to know more about you – and GIRL. That is SO cool about the famous author who was lowkey obsessed with your idea!! ππ

1. You were born on Hobbit Day?? EPIC. You get all the cool birthday points.
2. Anne Elizabeth Stengl is awesome, and I’m *pretty* sure she’s a friend of my aunt. So whenever I find a fan of hers, I get happy. π
3. I now want to go to a writing retreat in a hobbit hole. I think that would be extremely fun.

*OOOOH!! Excitement increases*
And when I get a bestseller, I will have to invite all my writer-friends and we will all go write in a hobbit-hole and push each other out of boats and get lost hiking and do all sorts of retreat-esque activities!! π
